This course satisfies theEEOC’s 32-hour mandatory training requirement. The course includes: an overview of the EEO complaint process; a review of the roles and responsibilities of an EEO Counselor; an overview of the anti-discrimination statutes; best practices in EEO counseling; mock-interviews and practice exercises; conducting initial intake; interview techniques; identifying and framing claims; attempting resolution; providing notification of rights and responsibilities; drafting the Counselor's reports and an overview of remedies. The course is taught through the use of our manual: Practical Guide to Conducting Federal Sector Pre-Complaint Counseling. Participants have up to three weeks to complete the self-paced, instructor-facilitated course.
 

 

 

 
 
 
This course fulfills the EEOC’s 32-hour mandatory training requirement. The course includes: an overview of the EEO complaint process; review of the role and responsibility of an EEO Investigator; a thorough presentation of all relevant anti-discrimination statutes including, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, asamended (Title VII), the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, asamended, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, asamended (ADEA), the Equal Pay Act of 1963 (EPA); and the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act (GINA); review of case management issues and practical tips concerning timely investigations of complaints; obtaining evidence on remedies; development of investigative techniques to include gathering and analyzing relevant and material evidence; and investigative techniques through practice case scenarios and mock interviews. The course is taught through the use of our manual: Practical Guide to Conducting Federal Sector EEO Complaints. Participants have up to six weeks to complete the self-paced, instructor-facilitated course.
 
 

EEO Counselor 8-hour Refresher

 

This course fulfills the EEOC's annual 8-hour refresher training requirement. The course includes case law updates; new developments in EEO practice; hot and relevant topics; further development of counseling skills and techniques; overcoming obstacles to resolution; and reinforces best practices in framing claims and drafting the Counselor Report. Participants have one week to complete the self-paced course.

 

 



 

 

EEO Investigator 8-hour Refresher

 

This course fulfills the EEOC's annual 8-hour refresher training requirement. The course includes case law updates; new developments in EEO practice; hot and relevant topics; further development of investigative skills and techniques; overcoming obstacles faced in investigation; and reinforces best practices in development of a Report of Investigation. Participants have one week to complete the self-paced course.
